Enable TikTok conversion feedback

TikTok Events API sends your LeadCreated and DealWon events directly to TikTok server-side. You recover 30 to 50% of conversions invisible on the browser pixel.

Prerequisites

• TikTok Ads account connected to Metrikia via OAuth.
• You are admin or owner of the Metrikia tenant.
• TikTok Ads Manager access with at least "Standard" role.

Steps

1. Get the Pixel Code

1. Open https://ads.tiktok.com and sign in.
2. Menu "Tools" > "Events" > "Web pixel".
3. Pick the pixel used on your site, copy the alphanumeric 16 to 32 character code at the top.

2. Generate an Access Token

1. In TikTok Ads Manager, go to "Tools" > "Events" > "Events API" tab.
2. Click "Generate token".
3. Grant permission offline_event_set:write.
4. Copy the token immediately, it is not shown again.

3. Get the Event Source ID (optional)

The pixel is used as the default event source. If you created a custom Event Source, copy its ID from "Events API > Event Sources".

4. Configure in Metrikia

1. Go to https://app.metrikia.io/app/settings, Integrations tab.
2. Under "Server-side conversion feedback", TikTok card, click "Enable connection".
3. Fill Pixel Code and Access Token. Event Source ID and Test Event Code are optional.
4. Click "Enable connection".

Verification

In TikTok Ads Manager > Events > your pixel, check that "Events received" increments after your first LeadCreated events.

Frequent errors

• "Invalid pixel code": TikTok pixel codes are UPPERCASE alphanumeric, 16 to 32 characters. No dashes, no spaces.
• "Access token expired": regenerate in TikTok Ads Manager and update via "Update" in Metrikia.
• "Test event code visible in production": clear the Test Event Code field once validation is done, otherwise your events are not counted.

GDPR compliance

Events contain SHA-256 hashes of email and phone. Mention "TikTok Events API" in your cookie banner, marketing category.
