Connect Google Ads to Metrikia
Step-by-step guide to connecting your Google Ads accounts via OAuth, managing multi-accounts (MCC) and understanding automatic micros conversion.
Goal
By the end of this guide, your Google Ads campaigns will be synced into Metrikia with all performance metrics, spend, clicks, impressions, conversions, ready to cross-reference with your CRM data for real ROAS.
Why connect Google Ads? Google Ads is the world's largest paid search platform. By connecting your accounts, Metrikia automatically pulls all your performance data and correlates it with your actual sales.
Prerequisites
- An active Metrikia account (14-day free trial)
- A Google Ads account with at least one campaign
- Sufficient access rights on the account (Read minimum, Admin recommended)
Step 1: Start the OAuth connection
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Click the Google Ads tile > Connect
- Google opens an authorization window, sign in with the Google account managing your campaigns
- Authorize Metrikia to access your Google Ads data (read-only)
- You are automatically redirected back to Metrikia
Pro tip: Use the Google account with the highest access level. If you are an agency, connect the Manager Account (MCC) to access all client accounts at once.
Step 2: Select your ad accounts
After OAuth authorization, Metrikia automatically detects all accounts you have access to, including those under a Manager Account (MCC).
- Your ad accounts appear in the Manage accounts panel
- Enable sync for each desired account using the toggle
- If you have an MCC with many accounts, use the search bar to filter
- Click Save to confirm your selection
You can come back and modify your selection at any time from Settings > Integrations > Google Ads > Manage accounts.
Step 3: Initial synchronization
The first sync retrieves your campaign history. Depending on data volume:
- 1-5 campaigns: ~30 seconds
- 50+ campaigns: 2-5 minutes
- Agency accounts (100+ campaigns): up to 10 minutes
What Metrikia imports
| Data | Description |
|---|---|
| Campaigns | Name, status, budget, type (Search, Display, Performance Max, etc.) |
| Ad groups | Targeting, bids, status |
| Ads | Headlines, descriptions, URLs, creative type |
| Performance metrics | Impressions, clicks, CTR, CPC, spend, conversions |
Data is then automatically synced every hour.
Understanding micros conversion
Google Ads expresses monetary amounts in micros: 1 EUR = 1,000,000 micros. For example, a CPC of 0.45 EUR is stored as 450,000 micros in the Google API.
Metrikia automatically converts micros to cents (the internal format), then to euros for display. You don't need to do anything, the amounts shown in your dashboard are directly in euros.
Pro tip: If you compare Metrikia data with Google Ads reports, amounts should match to the cent. A discrepancy usually means a timezone difference in your Google reports.
Troubleshooting
"Access denied" during OAuth
- Verify your Google account has at least Read permissions on the Google Ads account
- If using an MCC, make sure the link between the MCC and client account is active
- Sign out of all Google accounts in your browser, then start again with the correct account
Campaigns not showing up
- Check that the ad account is enabled in account management
- The initial sync may take a few minutes, refresh the page after 2-3 minutes
- Only campaigns with activity in the last 90 days are imported by default
Manager Accounts (MCC)
When you connect an MCC, Metrikia lists all associated client accounts. You can enable/disable sync for each sub-account individually. Data from each account is isolated and filterable in the dashboard.
Next step
Your Google Ads campaigns are now in Metrikia. Head to ADS to explore your performance, then import your CRM leads to get ROAS calculated from your actual sales.
