Understanding data calibration and the setup score
Why your numbers stabilize over about 7 days, what the setup score measures and how to raise it.
Equivalent terms
Also called: calibration, setup score, data still collecting, number reliability, dashboard not reliable yet, calibration period, why my data takes 7 days, activation vs reliability, collecting tile.
Why calibration exists
Metrikia correlates your ad spend with your real sales. That correlation needs some history to be trustworthy: a click today can turn into a sale several days later. Until Metrikia has observed enough days of data (around 7), the numbers are partial and may move. This is intentional and honest: Metrikia would rather say so than show a misleading ROAS.
The setup score
While calibrating, your dashboard leads with a setup score out of 100, made of three parts:
- Data: how many days of collection have been observed (out of 7). This part climbs on its own, every day.
- Connections: your two structural sources, an ad platform and a sales source (CRM, store or payment).
- Configuration: the remaining setup steps (goals, CRM mapping, pixel, profile). A step you consciously skipped counts as done.
100% means: a week of observed data, both sources connected, and every setup step done or skipped on purpose. The score also suggests the most useful next actions based on what is missing (connect an ad platform, a sales source, install the pixel), and a "See everything left" link opens the full step list. The block hides itself automatically once your data is reliable: no action is needed to remove it.
The "Collecting data" tiles
While calibrating, indicators that have no real data yet show "Collecting data" instead of a zero. A zero would say "you are selling nothing" when the truth is "not measured yet". Each tile lights up on its own as soon as real data lands: your dashboard fills in progressively, day after day.
Activation and reliability are two different things
Activation happens as soon as Metrikia shows your first real number. Reliability comes later, once enough history is collected. In between, the dashboard is usable and fills in over time. You can leave the getting-started flow and go to your dashboard at any time: your choice is remembered, and you will not be sent back even if the numbers are not complete yet.
Speed up reliability
The score suggests concrete actions based on what is missing:
- Connect an ad platform to track your spend.
- Connect your CRM or store to measure real ROI. Ad platforms only report their own conversions.
- Install the pixel if attribution stays thin: it links ad clicks to your sales. The earlier it is installed, the earlier your attribution counts.
Each action opens the matching connection or install screen directly.
Common issues
- The Data part stays low: your sources have not returned data yet. Check that the connection is active in settings (Integrations). If it persists, contact support.
- Calibration feels long: the reliability window covers about a week, the time needed to observe a full click-to-sale cycle.
- The score dropped: a source was disconnected. The score reflects the real state; reconnect the source to recover it.
