Understanding and choosing your workflow mode
Metrikia adapts to your business model through 3 archetypes: sales cycle, self-serve (e-commerce), or hybrid. Learn which to pick and how it shapes your dashboards.
Goal
Configure the right workflow mode for your Metrikia tenant so dashboards, Diana, and attribution faithfully reflect your business model.
Why it matters
Metrikia supports three very different business models. Picking the wrong archetype produces:
- Dashboards filled with empty or unrealistic pipelines
- Diana recommendations that reference roles you do not have (setters, closers...)
- A skewed MER / ROAS because part of your revenue is invisible
The 3 archetypes
1. Sales cycle (sales_cycle): default
Classic high-ticket B2B / coaching / agency model:
- Ads generate a CRM lead
- A setter qualifies the lead and books a call
- A closer runs the sales call and signs the deal
- Revenue is collected after the call
Pick this mode if your prospects never pay without talking to a human.
2. Self-serve (self_serve): e-commerce
Pure e-commerce / SaaS auto-checkout model:
- Ads send users to a product page or Stripe checkout
- The customer pays with zero human interaction
- No CRM pipeline, no setter, no closer
- Stripe pixel / webhook attribution does all the work
Pick this mode if your funnel ends with a Buy button or a Stripe Checkout.
3. Hybrid (hybrid)
Both funnels coexist:
- Part of your revenue comes from a Stripe self-serve product (eg. 49€ SKU)
- Part comes from a human sales cycle (eg. 4 000€ program)
Pick this mode if you combine e-commerce + premium consulting / coaching.
How to change the mode
Workflow mode is a tenant-level setting: a single mode is active at any time.
- Go to /app/settings
- Section Workflow mode
- Select the archetype that matches your business
- Click Save
Pro tip: Changing the mode immediately invalidates the performance cache. Your dashboards refresh on next render with the right views enabled.
Dashboard impact
| Module | sales_cycle | self_serve | hybrid |
|---|---|---|---|
| CRM pipeline | Visible | Hidden | Visible |
| Self-serve pipeline (Stripe) | Hidden | Visible | Visible |
| Setter / Closer dashboard | Visible | Hidden | Visible |
| Diana e-commerce prompts | Off | On | On |
| Stripe pixel attribution | Optional | Required | Recommended |
Common issues
My Stripe sales do not show up after switching to self_serve
Check that the Stripe pixel is installed (/app/settings > Integrations > Stripe) and that webhooks point to Metrikia.
Diana keeps talking about my setters when I am on self_serve
Diana needs a few minutes to refresh its context. If the issue persists after 5 minutes, open a ticket via the Support menu.
I am torn between hybrid and self_serve
If you have one human sales call per month, stay on self_serve and tag that lead manually. Switch to hybrid only if the human cycle is recurring.
If the setting is not visible in your UI
If you do not see the "Workflow mode" section in your settings, your role most likely lacks tenant-admin permissions. Ask your Owner or Admin to change it, or open a request in Ideas & Roadmap (/app/settings, feature-request section) to expose it to Setters/Closers.
